SENSUI has made a significant commitment toward preserving our environment. We have taken several measures toward this commitment including registering with the US Green Building Council's 'Leadership in Environmental and Efficient Design' (LEED) program. We are proud to say that we will be the first LEED certified spa in California. In addition, our facilities will be the first LEED certified building in Seal Beach!

There are several stringent requirements in obtaining a LEED certificate. The requirements fall in each of the following categories:
- Sustainable Sites
- Water Efficiency
- Energy and Atmosphere
- Materials and Resources
- Indoor Environmental Quality
- Innovation and Design Process
Some significant measures we have incorporated include installing solar panels to generate our own electricity, installing a synthetic lawn (though our plants are real!), eliminating our entire sprinkler system due to our selection of drought-resistant plants, using non-VOC paints and adhesives, installing tankless water heaters and recirculating hot-water pumps, installing renewable bamboo floors, installing recycled carpet made from 20% post-industrial waste, using refurbished lighting, reusing or recycling up to 80% of our construction waste, and several other various measures that would be transparent to you as a guest at our facility.
In addition, we have had a LEED Accredited Professional Engineer on site throughout our construction process to aid us in adhering to each of the requirements.
If you have any further questions about the LEED program or how you may introduce some greener measures into your lifestyle, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to share our experience and tips toward living a more eco-aware lifestyle.
With the attention to detail and dedication that we've spent on preserving our earth, we assure you that we provide the same detail and dedication to the quality of care for each of our guests.
